In March 2010, the US Geological Survey estimated the area's hydrocarbon potential, claiming that the so-called Levant Basin province (stretching from the Sinai Peninsula to the northern border of Syria) could hold as much as 1.7 billion barrels of recoverable oil and 3,500 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas. This could put an end to the country’s dependency on foreign imports, ensuring Israel’s energy independence for the next 150 years. However it also ups the anti for the surrounding nations to come for the spoils.

The Russian Academy of Sciences has taken a great interest in helping Israel develop its new found resources. However, Russia’s ambitions are viewed with suspicion in some Israeli circles that fear Moscow would use gas as a leverage tool to promote its own agenda.

Israeli scientists are developing a treatment for people suffering from liver disease. Dr. Ronald Ellis, who holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Cornell University heads a team at NasVax, an Israeli company that have developed a drink for treatment of liver disease.

Violence flared throughout the Middle East and North Africa during September as Muslim militants took to the streets to attack American and other Western diplomatic outposts.

The initial assault, on the eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist atrocities in New York and Washington, left four Americans dead in Libya, including a diplomat who had earlier served in Israel. Unrest quickly spread to Egypt, Tunisia, the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and other Arab countries. Protests later broke out in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, central Africa and parts of Europe.

Ostensibly, the Islamic demonstrations, some of which turned violent, were a reaction to a short film said to be disparaging of the founder of the Muslim faith, Muhammad, posted on the American-owned YouTube web site. However the film, titled Innocence of Muslims, was apparently not produced by native Americans but by an Egyptian Coptic Christian living in the United States.

Israeli security forces were placed on heightened alert as demonstrations were staged near the American Embassy in Tel Aviv and the US consulate in Jerusalem. In many locations, Israeli flags were burned along with American ones, or replicas of the same. Full Report at : 911 Anniv

Massive naval buildup in Persian Gulf as Israel moves closer to war.

Western powers and several of their Middle East allies have deployed an enormous naval fleet to the Persian Gulf just days after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again suggested that his country may soon launch a preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.

The fleet includes ships from 25 nations, include three full US carrier groups, each one with a complement of more aircraft than the entire Iranian air force.

What is Ahmadinejad and Khamenei hatred for America and Israel about?

Western culture is the greatest enemy of the Iranian regime, and for that reason they hate the West’s leader – the United States, and the country they perceive as its agent in the Middle East, Israel.

This is why they refer to the former as “Great Satan” and to us (Israel) as “Little Satan.” The US is not hated in Iran because of Israel’s conduct. September 25th quotes by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in the US for the UN General Assembly, may hint at just one of those reasons for such hatred. In an exclusive interview with CNN's Piers Morgan, the president took a swipe at what he said was the West's lenient attitude toward homosexuality, which is forbidden by Iran's theocratic regime.

"Let me ask you this," Ahmadinejad said. "Do you believe that anyone is giving birth through homosexuality? Homosexuality ceases procreation."

"If a group recognizes an ugly behavior or ugly deed as legitimate, you must not expect other countries or other groups to give it the same recognition," he concluded.

As the Nations of the World gather in hatred of Israel, the word of God has the following promises for Israel. There is an appointed time in History when the following scriptures will be fulfilled.

Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob...

Is. 45:17 "But Israel will be saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; you will never be put to shame or disgraced, to ages everlasting."

Is. 59:20 "The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins," declares the LORD."

Jer. 31:1 "At that time," declares the LORD, "I will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they will be my people."

When will “at that time” be? All signs point to Yom Kippur, year unknown.

Yom Kippur the second of three fall feasts begins September 25, 2012 at sundown. Of the three fall feasts that are yet to be totally fulfilled by Yeshua (Jesus); the second one is what is considered by the Jews to be the most holy of feast days.

It is the most Holy day because it is the one day of the year that the High Priest enters the Holy of Holies to make atonement for the nation of Israel. It is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

Kippur is a Hebrew word that comes from the primitive root word which means to “cover”. The word carries with it the sense of being covered because of a sacrifice. Jesus as He hung on the cross became our kapparah.
